"The greatest Gift,
in the end
was a family
and a Friend.
A ear to lend
a hand to hold,
and you,
my Friend -your heart of gold."

I'm so sorry for the lack of updates, but work has kept me busy, and I never knew that work could be so much worse than studying. I can't imagine working for the rest of my life!! Yet, if i don't work now, I somehow don't feel really good. It's like, everyone else is earning money, and you're not. More to the point, it's a, I just have to join in the 'fun' kinda thing. Anyhow, it's ending soon, and I'm not sure if I'm glad or not.

I just came back from pharmacy camp, and I had the blast of my life! It was really the highlight of my holidays. I just had so much fun! It an amazing experience, and I must say, I'll have to thank the camp for giving me this opportunity to actually exercise. Throughout the entire camp, since day 1, it was run, run, run!!

For the amazing race, we ran throughout TAKA! It was hilarious. There was this security guard there and he gave us a warning, "Eh, CHILDREN! This is not a playground okay. Don't play catching here." We were like, children? ALAMAK! T.T That security guard must not have kids. Worse, we went to botanical gardens, but we were way behind time, thus, we had to run all the way to the main entrace from the main road, and all the way through the garden to the $5 tree! It's not a short distance okay! I'm so proud of myself. Haha!

After the amazing race, we were throughly wiped out, BUT! we still had night games at night, and it's the coolest game of the camp! It's termed, CURFEW. It's such an interesting game!! It was running here, running there, sweating and getting wet with green bean soup. It's hard to describe the game, and it would take a long time to describe, but GOODNESS! It's an amazing game. I think the number of people that we have, about 50 plus or so, was just nice for this game. At the end, I had green bean soup, chocolate, condense milk poured all over me. Oh yeah! not forgetting the flour. Such a thrilling game.

After the game is finished, it was quite late into the night, but we still had to discuss our campfire item. In the end, we slept at 2 plus, and woke up at 7 plus the next day. The next day, we had games at Changi beach and it was run, run, run again!! It was much fun and laughter, nonetheless. Haha. I think I'm either very clumsy or guys are super rough. While playing captain's food, similar to captain's ball except that the ball is a fruit, guys kept banging into me! Honestly, I was just standing there, when WHAM! Whoah, and I fell. =.=||

There was also this game, the tree legged soccer race. It was a good game, but a super tiring game! It's hop, hop, hop! And I had to hope on my left too!! 'Cause the guy had to kick the soccer ball with his right foot, and you know what? Eveytime he kicks, he loses his balance!! and since he is grabbing onto me, when he falls, I will fall with him too. =.=|| Imagine the number of times I fell!! After the game, my whole ankle became swollen since the cloth was too tight. T.T

Still, the games did not end there, at night, it was games, games, games!! We had this frightnight and they were so pro! They chose this chalet, right behind Changi Hospital and totally did a great job turning it into a haunted house. The effect was truly amazing. I really must applaud the seniors for their hard work! It was an eye-opener. Really. In the end, we ended sleeping at 4 plus since we had to yet again, discuss for campfire night. What time did we wake up? 7 am. We are so pro. =D

The next day, it was a scorching hot day at Sentosa beach. Can you imagine? Our lack of sleep, equipped with fatigue and aching muscles, yet we still had to run around sentosa under the super hot sun. Seriously, the sun was exceptionally hot that day!! But the fun we had! Simply exquisite.

At night, it was campfire night. Basically it was a time to laugh, and laugh, and laugh. Really entertaining!! Thereafter, we went to Changi Village since it is going to be our last night. There were lots of entertaining figures at Changi, which I suppose you guys should be able to guess. We ate supper there, took a walk by the beach, before heading back to the chalet and played games throughout the night. In the end, we slept at 5 plus, but this time, we woke at 8 plus, so it was much better.

The last day is basically just checking out day. SO SAD!! I am going to miss everyone! MY entire OG: ZIP ZAP! All the people at the camp, the seniors, the fun, the laughter, the feeling of being shacked together. There's so much memories!!

I am so glad I went for the camp. I must really thank the people who organised the camp, the seniors who brought much live, laughter and fun to the camp, and the weather for being so kind, and lastly God for being so nice to me. Okay, I'm stil quite zonked out from the lack of sleep. Signing off for now.

"A lifetime can be likened to a lonely beach of sand.
a stranger makes a mark one day, an imprint of a hand.
As time goes by the beach once clear is now a cluttered field
of memories and keep-sakes of the ones that we hold dear.
Time does its best to wash away remembrances of those -
the ones we never meant to meet - the ones we never chose.
But as through some odd twist of fate these are the ones we cherish.
The time we spend with these such friends, will never, ever perish"

Heaven unleashed its fury onto earth – lashing out harshly and relentlessly onto miniature creatures below. Trees rocked from side to side, their leaves pulled by the strong winds that accompanied the torrent. With wind speed going at 70 kilometre per hour, doors rattled and banged against their hinges while windows were clammed shut to prevent any stray leaves from fluttering into the humble abode. Even while basking in the comfort offered by the warmth within, the howling of the wind echoed throughout the entire apartment, shrieking from the first to the third storey, leaving no place untouched. The wind chimes were at their noisiest – incessant in their rattling and ringing – disturbing the stillness within the house. No one in his or her right mind would venture out.

‘Clang!’

The gate grumbled behind her as she left her house. However, the sound was soon lost in the heavy downpour that overwhelmed earth. Clutching her puny umbrella tightly in one hand, and her jacket in the other, she quickly made her way down the long and straight slope, sidestepping any puddles that came in her way. On more occasions than one, the ferocious winds threatened to snatch the umbrella out of her hands, and not surprisingly, these attempts usually left her half soaked.

Hugging her jacket towards her chest, she trudged on down the hill. She could no longer see where she was stepping as the umbrella was held in a shield-like fashion where the rain was the enemy. It was an enemy that could not be prevented nor defeated. It was the worst kind of enemy anyone would face. It was, as some might put it, invincible. Holding her weapon firmly in her hands, she marched on bravely, not at all taunted by the enemy.

All of a sudden, a huge gust of wind attacked her from the front! Taken by surprise, her weapon was nearly thrust out of her hands and flung behind her. She cried out in horror as she realised what that meant. It was the unthinkable. The unimaginable. It was the very thing that anyone in her position would dread. After holding out for so long – fighting courageously on the front lines with the enemy – the most absurd thing just had to happen. She was left naked, without a weapon in front of her, exposed to the enemy as they rained upon her. The enemy splattered onto her mercilessly. They left their mark on everything they could get their hands on. Even her jacket was not spared! Imagine the horror! The cold! The darkness.

Grasping the umbrella so tightly that even the whites of her knuckles started to show, she struggled to maintain her grip. No way was she going to wave the white flag. Not at this juncture. Not after all the obstacles that she had battled through – including the puddles, the thunder, the lightning and not forgetting, the wind, the cold, and the darkness. No. She was not prepared to give up.

With a huge thug, she pulled her almighty weapon from its defeated state. It was going to rise again, as would a phoenix, and this time it would not bow down to pressure! It will stand tall and strong bringing, glory to its owner! With her pertinacious weapon on hand, she bravely lumbered on. Ahead, the rough outline of the bus stop could be seen. Sanctuary! With a smile, she picked up her pace and embraced the dryness within the shelter.

As she stood at the bus stop, she tilted her head and gazed upwards, smirking at the same time. Triumph! Today is not the day when she would be defeated. Today is not the day the enemy shall gain victory. Today is NOT the day weaknesses are tolerated. Today is the day she avoided a possible death sentence from the enemy. Today is the day her faithful weapon of choice proved its loyalty. Today is the day… she walked in the rain.

Fare thee well then, dear enemy. Till we meet again.
