"The colours of a rainbow,
so pretty in the sky.
Are also on the faces
of people going by.
I see friends shakin' hands,
saying, 'How do you do?'
They're really saying,
'I love you.' "

-What a wonderful world-

A hectic day.
Rushed from school to home, followed by orchard. Back home again, and then to City hall. Ending with another trip back home.
Had a really fun time today!! Enjoyed every moment of it. Still savouring every second, smiling non-stop. She simply loves August. It's the sweetest month amongst all the months she has to spend in school. Lovely!

--------------

"Dear passengers, the station is getting crowded. Would those that are not taking the train kindly leave the station. Thank you."

Upon arrival at the station, she was greeted by an un-welcoming message. A whole train-load of people flowed out of the train and up the escalators. Likewise, she followed. As she emerged from below, her jaw dropped, stunned at the crowd gathered at the station. There was a huge bottle neck at the barrier, causing a massive human jam. Just getting through the barrier took her a few minutes. Before she could get her bearings, she was pushed out of the station rudely by the growing crowd. The air was thick and super stuffy! Everyone was so close that they coud actually feel each other breathing down one another's neck!

10 minutes passed.
There was no sign of her friends
Not one of her friend has arrived yet.
It was hardly surprising looking at the size of the crowd. To locate her friend within this crowd was as good as looking for a needle in a haystack. It was hopeless. Thank goodness for one of the greatest invention on earth.
Handphone!!

And so they quickly made their way to the restaurant, fearing that there would be a long queue waiting from them. They went as fast as their feet could take them without breaking into a run. No one wanted to perspire before dinner, but that was hardly possible since most of them were forced to break into a sweat at the station. The air outside was so much cooler and fresher! Ah, the taste of fresh air was simply heavenly then.

After eating, they lingered at the restaurant and fiddled around with the camera. Dinner was fantastic! Yummy! Simply mouth-watering. The aroma drifting out of the restaurant was enough to send her tummy growling. Okay, maybe she was just hungry, but still, dinner was amazing.

Decided to treat her friends to Ben and Jerry's thereafter. The ice-creams there were delicious. One word. Awesome! Gracious, they were sweet! The variety of flavours there were not only unique, but also creative and of course, they were scrumptious. It is so unlike those you find along the streets. There was really a 'classy' edge to it. She highly recommends it! No harm eating it once. No hole will be burnt in your pocket. No worries!

Next up, they headed for Esplanade, hoping to take advantage of the scenic view there.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Fireworks thundered overhead as they left the buidling. They turned towards the sky and stared, awed-struck. It was beautiful! The vast array of colours were dazzling. There were even different pictures formed! Simply out of this world! The fireworks spread out over the entire sky, lighting up the entire place. The feeling is entirely different from seeing lightning although they produce the same effect. As the fireworks dispersed from one single point in the sky into numerous smaller lights, fanning out across the sky, shouts of 'wah' can be heard from the crowd.

'Oh my goodness! Oh my goodness!'

It was like glitter! Stunning! There they stood, oggling at the sky like some 3 year old kids who have never seen fireworks before in their entire life. It was hilarious! As the fireworks crackled into the sky, she could feel her heart thumping more vigorously as adrenaline coursed through her vein. Wicked!

Finally, after the fireworks ended, they arrived at the Esplanade. There were so many people there! Many of them were leaving the scene, having enjoyed the fireworks in first class seats. Security guards were there to ensure that people left in an orderly manner. It was really hard to walk against the crowd. Especially so when the crowd pushes and jostle. Nevertheless, they got to their destination in one piece. Phew!

"That was really people mountain, people sea!" (Direct translation of a chinese proverb: ren shan ren hai)

Played around with the camera again.
Giggling, smiling, laughing.
Doing what girls do best: Talk.
Just relaxing out in the open, breathing in the night air as the stars shine upon them.
Feeling ever so carefree just for that moment.
Bathing in the bliss of contentment and happiness.
Priceless.

"There is this group of people standing in front of me, making a hell of a noise and the people here just bloody refuse to move! I can't even get out of this stupid train," came a voice from her right.

The train was indeed packed. There was hardly space for movements.

"..secondary school kids. Super irritating," continued the voice, before rattling off in malay.

"..I can even smell the people here. This is how close I am to them. This is so frustrating and the people in front of me are annoying the hell out of me.." went the voice.

It was so obvious that the voice was commenting about her friends and her. Who else is standing in front of that person but them? How unreasonable can that person get? It is not their fault that the train is crowded. It is also hardly their fault that the train is noisy! They were not even making much noise since they were more into looking at the pictures in the camera. That person is totally unreasonable! Atrocious, i tell you!

"..No, they can't hear me. I don't think so.."

Yeah, right.

---------------

Feeling like the happiest girl on earth!!
Nothing can ruin her mood for now.
Absolutely nothing!
Happy, happy, happy!!

---------------

"I see skies of blue
and clouds of white.
The bright blessed day.
the dark sacred night.
And I think to myself,
what a wonderful world."
